About us

We are a family company from Łódź. We have been Lodzermensch for several generations, involved in yarns for as long as we can remember. Mecfibre Poland was founded in 1991 and has been operating continuously since then.

Marian Tadeuszak began his career at the TEXTILIMPEX foreign trade headquarters, where he moved right after his studies, in the early 1970s. There he gained experience in raw materials and trade, which he later used in the family business. We still use his vast knowledge to this day.

Barbara Tadeuszak, with her entrepreneurial gene and extraordinary empathy, has been a part of the company’s operations from the very beginning. Known in the industry as “Mrs. Basia”, she took an active part in the development of the Polish tights industry, supporting emerging manufacturers in finding the right raw materials and machines for their processing. She is still a minority shareholder in the company.

However, both are in well-deserved retirement and do not take an active part in the company’s operations.

Marcin Tadeuszak joined the company in 2005, after combining its previous know-how with the offer and organizational culture of the Italian group Contifibre / Fulgar, which decided to buy the clothing part of the business, on condition that it would continue to be managed by the Tadeuszak family.

In this way, Contifibre Poland Sp. z o.o., one of the largest distributors of polyamide, polyester and polyurethane yarns in Central and Eastern Europe, was separated from Mecfibre. Contifibre offers over 750 different polyamide yarns and is the exclusive representative of LYCRA® fiber.

Mecfibre has remained active, but deals with technical raw materials, recently also trying to introduce thermoregulatory functional clothing to the market under the BRO UNDERWEAR and BRO MOTOGEAR brands. Marcin Tadeuszak currently manages both companies and is the originator of both clothing brands.
